Volunteer with Rockin for Research!
The great success of the gala is due to the amazing efforts of many dedicated and talented volunteers. THANK YOU to all of our past Rockin’ for Research volunteers! Every year you help make our gala one of the best in the city and we couldn’t do it without your hard work and dedication. Keep reading to learn more about opportunities available at this amazing and popular event!

Rockin’ Executive Team
The Executive Team plans and organizes Rockin for Research in conjunction with many of the other planning teams. The executive team meets approximately once per month and helps with strategic planning, event direction and contacts.

Rockin’ Advisory Council
Rockin’ is supported by an Advisory Council made up of business and community leaders with influence in the community.

Rockin’ Action Teams
We are looking for savvy, skilled leaders who are well connected in the community and can help grow our event in the years to come. The following teams are “project based” so are short term rather than all year round.

Partnership Specialist
Provide your skills and contacts to develop new sponsors/partners, help obtain support, sell tables and assist with partner benefit fulfillment. Use your creativity to find unique ways in which partners can leverage this event to promote their business to our attendees.

The Production Crew
Are you creative? Join our production team to develop the themes which drive the branding of the event.  Plan the décor, source and work with the entertainment, assist with providing our guests with an exciting and memorable experience, be a leader of a component of the evening.

Auction Acquisition Team
Are you interested in helping to secure auction and/or draw items for one of the biggest and best galas in the city? We need your people skills and initiative to contact businesses and companies in your community throughout the year for auction donations!

Auction Administrative Team
Join the team on a weekly basis at the office to help input data, send emails, follow up with donors, and arrange delivery or pick up of auction items. Detail oriented & organized volunteers with solid computer and communications skills, and flexible weekday schedules are needed!

Event Rock Stars
Can’t commit to a long or short term volunteer role, but still want to experience our gala? An event day position could be just the spot for you! Rockin’ is our most popular event so event day positions are limited, and priority is given to those with experience at our event. New volunteers are always welcome!

    • Guest Check In
    • Greeters
    • Bank Cashier
    • Prize Draw ticket sales
    • Silent & Live Auction monitors, runners & spotters
    • Check-Out and Storage
    • Décor & general event set up, clean up crew
    • + more!

Please note: Formal dress code and attendance at a training & orientation session prior to the event is mandatory for most Rockin’ event day volunteers. Many evening positions are long shifts, ending late at night and may not be suitable for everyone.
